brac IT has appointed Sadat Adnan Ahmad as Chief Business Transformation Officer, strengthening its leadership team as the company advances toward its Vision 2030 ambitions.
A result-driven and visionary leader with over 25 years of multidisciplinary leadership experience, including more than a decade in C-suite roles, Adnan has spent his career building, transforming, and scaling start-ups and established brands across telecom, fintech, and digital lifestyle services.
“I now have the rare privilege of helping build the ecosystem, capabilities, and institutional foundations that can position brac IT as one of Bangladesh’s most influential technology companies and one of the country’s defining business success stories of the 21st century.” said Adnan upon his appointment.
Reporting to CEO Shahriar Hoque, he will lead business transformation, local market growth, client governance, service portfolio development, operating model discipline, and profitability-focused execution, translating Vision 2030 priorities into practical, on-ground execution.
Shahriar remarked, “Adnan brings a rare combination of entrepreneurial instinct and operating discipline, shaped by some of Bangladesh’s most disruptive growth stories. As brac IT works to build a more structured, scalable, and commercially disciplined organization, his experience will be instrumental for our Vision 2030 ambitions.”

At Nagad, he held the positions of Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Commercial Officer, playing central roles in scaling the company to over 70M customers, launching the country’s first digital-KYC, and establishing it as a major force in the MFS industry.
His earlier career includes senior roles at bKash (unicorn), Beximco Communications, Nagad, Robi Axiata, Warid Telecom, and Grameenphone, spanning marketing, strategy, product, sales, and business transformation.
Adnan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka.
