Lead DevOps Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to lead the design, automation, and optimization of scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD ecosystems. The role involves driving DevOps best practices, containerization and orchestration initiatives, infrastructure automation, system reliability, and cloud security while mentoring engineers and supporting high-availability production environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure DevOps pipelines using industry-standard CI/CD tools.
- Lead containerization efforts using Docker, Kubernetes, and other orchestration tools.
- Ensure availability, performance, security of cloud infrastructure and maintain and optimize Linux-based systems and services.
- Review code, ensure best practices are followed, and drive continuous improvement in development processes.
- Ensure availability, performance, security of infrastructure and mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers within the team.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and monitoring through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Implement and enforce best practices for system reliability, observability, and disaster recovery.
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools/technologies for performance and cost optimization.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- BSc in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) or equivalent.
- 6+ years in DevOps or infrastructure roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).
- Expertise in Linux system administration and shell scripting.
- Solid understanding of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and other container orchestration platforms. Expertise in Linux system administration and shell scripting.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
- Experience in securing cloud infrastructure and implementing DevSecOps practices is a plus.
- Understand virtualization and containerization as a tool for growing scalability, reliability and expediency;
- Employing secure coding practices including familiarity with OWASP top ten.
