SENIOR DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR
The Senior DBA will be responsible for managing day-to-day PostgreSQL database operations while also supporting other database platforms as needed (SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB). This role ensures performance, stability, security, and reliability of business-critical applications across production and non-production environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain PostgreSQL databases (Prod & Non-Prod)
- Support other database platforms (SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB) as required
- Monitor database health, performance, and availability
- Perform backup, restore, and recovery operations
- Execute patching, upgrades, and routine maintenance
- Optimize SQL queries and overall database performance
- Automate DBA tasks using shell scripts
- Support application teams with database design and troubleshooting
- Implement security, access control, and compliance standards
- Prepare and maintain DBA documentation, SOPs, and runbooks
- Coordinate with DevOps and Infra teams during deployments and changes
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- Strong PostgreSQL DBA experience (install, configure, tune, backup, recovery)
- Familiarity with SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB
- Strong Linux/Unix OS administration
- Strong SQL and PL/pgSQL
- Shell scripting (Bash) for automation
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools
- Knowledge of HA, replication, and failover
- Experience handling production incidents
Experience Requirement
5+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Large-scale production database experience
- Exposure to DevOps tools or CI/CD pipelines
- Cloud or virtualized environment knowledge
